The Chair of World History of Yerevan State University and the “Armenian Association of World History” NGO Organize the Second Scientific Conference on the Theme of “Personality in the Discourse of History 2”
The role and the impact of an individual personality on the history is one of the key issues in the humanities and social sciences. In different phases of history the scale of the influence of individuals and their projects and their supporting social and political groups on the course of history have different degrees of efficiency. During the transitive periods of history, when societies are witnessing pivotal alternatives about their future, the role of individual personalities is of exceptional importance.
The conference aims to ensure the inclusion of the study into interdisciplinary perspective. It is designed to bring together young historians, philosophers, sociologists, economists, and the young scholars of cultural studies, political science and international relations.
The best papers will be published in a collection of scientific articles. It will also be available online in electronic version. The papers are accepted in Armenian, English and Russian.
The conference will take place on July 29, 2015. It is open to scientists, PhD students, and Master students and also to international participants.
